June is here. It's summer again.
Time to make some money, lay around in the sunshine, explore, photograph, and come to life at night.
So, get out of your houses and come drink and dance with me :)
I'll help you out. Here are some relatively cheap ways to come out and see the city, meet people and hear music that will change your life.

Tangier
21+ $8
side note: Olin & the Moon is a local LA band with a huge heart. I might be biased because like me, they originate in the lonesome midwest. However, I have no doubt their clever folky rock will blow you away. Plus, they cover Old Crow Medicine Band.
They've got residency @ Tangier during the month of June, so you can see them every Wednesday for 4 weeks straight. Word.

9:00 PM
Crystal Castles
The Roxy
18+ $13
side note: If you go to the Echo, walk a few blocks further east down Sunset (before or after the show) til you hit The Gold Room. Chances are you will run into the crowd from whatever show it is that you're seeing. Super fun bar with an unpretentious crowd, and a beer + tequila shot for 5 bucks. You just can't beat that.

The Echo

The Echo
All Ages $12!
side note: Word is that The Glass House kind of blows, and the show is all ages which is a little bit shitty. But in all honesty, you are crazy not to go to this show.

The Watson Twins
Amoeba Music- Hollywood

The Watson Twins
Amoeba Music- Hollywood
All Ages, free
side note: Amoeba is a legendary record store on Sunset with a history, and obviously, a future.
All Ages $25
side note: Relatively expensive show + overpriced drinks inside, BUT this show is part of the Sunset Strip Music Festival, which could end up being fun as hell. Other acts include: Juliette & the Licks (The Viper Room), Dilated Peoples (House of Blues), and Hello Goodbye (Key Club).
Sat 6/28
8:00 PM
Fleet Foxes
The Echo

Fleet Foxes
The Echo
18+ $10
side note: Fleet Foxes have only released a self tiltled EP, but word is that they are going to be HUGE. Listen to them and find out why. Better yet, pay $10 to see them in Echo Park before you end up paying $50 to see them in a couple of years.
All Ages $10
side note: Okay, honestly, this is the historic Hollywood Bowl we're talking about. $10 is probably the cheapest anyone has ever paid for entrance. If Devendra isn't reason enough to get off your asses, the entrance fee should be.
